Jim Epolito, CEO

James Epolito is the Principal of HMA Capital 2, a private equity division of Health Management Associates. He also manages the portfolio of business for HMA Capital 1. It is in this capacity that he is CEO for CHA. Previously, Jim served as the president of Delta Dental, Michigan. In 2005, Jim was named president and chief executive officer of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), the state's economic development agency. He has also served at the CEO of the Accident Fund Insurance Company of America and held various executive positions with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. He received a master's in public administration from Western Michigan University and his bachelor's degree in communications from Michigan State University.

 

Mary Grant, COO

Ms. Grant is a former senior executive at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland (BSBM), where she directed claims adjudication, consumer service, network development, enrollment and billing and other operating divisions of the healthcare insurer. She was also a key member of the entrepreneurial team that established two subsidiary healthcare technology companies for BSBM Prior to joining CHA, Ms. Grant operated a consulting practice in healthcare service delivery for fifteen years, serving a diverse client base ranging from Apache Medical Systems to the National Health Insurance Agency in Ghana.

 

Edward Broenniman, Senior Vice President & CFO

The Managing Director of The Piedmont Group LLC, a Venture Development firm focused on building value for investors and stockholders. Mr. Broenniman has over 25 years of successful experience as a CEO/COO and Director with private venture backed and publicly held growth firms and Fortune 50 companies. Mr. Broenniman has built four venture backed technology companies and serves on a public Board, Aethlon Medical (AEMD). He is on the Board of two privately held IT firms and has served on public company boards as well as venture backed firms. He was the first Entrepreneur in Residence at the Dingman Center University of Maryland.

 

Michael Fox, Vice President of Information Technology

Mr. Fox has 15 years experience in information technology with most of this time spent in the medical field. His background includes extensive work with multiple technologies in the areas of data warehousing, high performance middleware and web development. He has performed a leadership role in consulting firms serving both the provider and distributor segments of the health care industry.
