Nelson Rosenbaum, President/CEO
Founder of Consumer Health Advisers, Inc., he is the former CEO and founder of ValuMed Systems, a healthcare informatics firm (now PSIMedica, a division of Bio-Reference Labs - BRLI/ NASDAQ); as well as the founder and former Managing Partner of Capital Research Group (CRG), a broad based management consulting firm with a major practice in healthcare service delivery. Mr. Rosenbaum has served on the boards of numerous health-related organizations, including the Community Health Facilities Fund and the Community Health Center Capital Corporation. A former Senior Fellow at the Urban Institute, he is the author of numerous books and articles.
Edward Broenniman, Senior Vice President & CFO
The Managing Director of The Piedmont Group LLC, a Venture Development firm focused on building value for investors and stockholders. Mr. Broenniman has over 25 years of successful experience as a CEO/COO and Director with private venture backed and publicly held growth firms and Fortune 50 companies. Mr. Broenniman has built four venture backed technology companies and serves on a public Board, Aethlon Medical (AEMD). He is on the Board of two privately held IT firms and has served on public company boards as well as venture backed firms. He was the first Entrepreneur in Residence at the Dingman Center University of Maryland.
Karol Blanchard, Vice President for Technology and Engineering
Ms. Blanchard previously served for ten years as VP of Engineering for ValuMed Systems and its corporate successor, PSIMedica - a division of Bio-Reference Labs, Inc (BRLI-NASDAQ) where she managed design, development, end-user training, and quality assurance for several versions of ValuMed's health care software. She also designed and developed the extraction, transformation, and load software used for populating the data warehouse with massive amounts of health care data. Prior to her tenure at ValuMed/PSIMedica, Ms. Blanchard worked as a senior software development engineer at ARINC designing and developing corporate human resource and financial software and DOD logistics-related tracking software.
Jonathan Dopkeen, Ph.D., Vice President for Business Development
Mr. Dopkeen most recently served as Assistant Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health directing the Illinois Electronic Health Records Taskforce and implementation of the Illinois National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (I-NEDSS). He has worked extensively in applications of health and medical quality. In addition to his healthcare experience in state, county and municipal government, he served as a Principal with both Mercer and Health Management Associates, a Senior Consultant with the benefits and health industry practices of the Hay Group, and Government Practice Leader in the Chicago Office of The Segal Co. Mr. Dopkeen is experienced in the actuarial analysis, benefit plan design and management of large employer health plans, retiree health benefits, collective bargaining, and long term care.
Thomas Dolatowski, Vice President for Sales & Marketing
Mr. Dolatowski has over thirty years of experience as a sales and marketing executive with major group health insurance carriers and as a welfare benefits consultant. Prior to joining CHA, he was the Vice-President of Marketing and Communications for the Delta Dental Plans Association where he was responsible for monitoring marketplace trends and implementing programs and strategies to enhance DDPA's position as the nation's premier dental benefits administrator. As a health benefits consultant, Mr. Dolatowski has provided benefit plan and marketing counsel to numerous plan sponsors and health plans. He has also held the positions of regional Vice President of Sales and Service for the Transamerica Insurance Company and regional Vice President of Marketing for John Hancock Insurance Company.
Mary Grant, Vice President for Client Services
Ms. Grant is a former senior executive at Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland, where she directed claims adjudication, billing, consumer service, network development and other operating divisions of the healthcare insurer. Prior to joining CHA, Ms. Grant operated a consulting practice in healthcare service delivery for fifteen years, serving a diverse client base ranging from Apache Medical Systems to the National Health Insurance Agency in Ghana.
